Our company will also apply or assist in the application for the following permits for our clients:
Lottery and Lotto Permits: Regarding the alcoholic beverage industry, only Off Premises alcoholic beverage retailers may apply for these permits. The state fee is $ 125.00 per year
Sales and Use Tax Permits: All alcoholic beverage retailers must apply for and maintain on an annual basis a Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit issued by the office of the State Comptroller of Public Accounts. Failure to maintain your permit in good standing is grounds for the suspension or cancellation of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Permit issued to the permittee. There is no fee to the State for this permit.
Special Occupational Tax Stamp: This tax is paid to the Department of the Treasury by all alcoholic beverage Retailer's, Wholesaler's and Manufacturer's. The tax year initially is from inception of business to the following June 30th and then from July 1 to June 30 of each subsequent year. The annual tax for Retailer's is $250.00 and for Wholesalers is $500.00. The initial tax amount is prorated by the months remaining from inception to the following June 30th. The tax rate for Manufacturer's is based on production levels.
Federal Basic Permits: Additional permits issued by the Department of the Treasury are required for Wholesalers, Importers and Distributor Licenses in conjunction with State Permits issued by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. There is no fee paid to the Department of Treasury for these permits.
Tobacco Permit: Anyone involved in the retailing or wholesaling of tobacco products in Texas must have a permit issued by the State Comptroller's office. The fee for a retail level permit is $ 180.00 per year.
Some cities in Texas have Special Use or Occupational permits that are required by our applicants. We will make clients aware of the requirements and complete applications in cases where attorney, engineer or architectural services are not required.
